Overview #
Before sharing your store locator with customers, take a few minutes to test it and make sure your store information, search results, filters, and map are working as expected.
The checks below will help you catch missing or incorrect information before your customers see it.
Step 1 — Check Your Store Information #
For each store location, verify that the following information is correct:
- Store Name
- Website
- Phone
- Address
- Hours of Operation
- Holiday Notice, if added
- Store Coverage / ZIP Codes
To make sure your store can be found by the right customers, use a ZIP Code that the store serves when testing your search.
Step 2 — Test Your Store Search #
Enter a ZIP Code that your store serves and click Search.
Check that:
- The expected store location appears.
- The store’s information is correct.
- The address is correct.
- The hours are correct.
- The store’s location on the map is correct.
Step 3 — Test Your Filters #
Choose a filter category and select one of its values.
Check that:
- The filter categories you want customers to use appear.
- The correct values are available.
- Selecting a value returns the appropriate store locations.
- Filters that don’t apply to a store aren’t unnecessarily displayed on its result card.
If a filter appears when it shouldn’t, return to Store Filters and turn it off for that store.
Step 4 — Verify Your Map #
Check that:
- The map loads correctly.
- The store’s location appears in the correct place.
- The map pin matches the store’s actual location.
If the map doesn’t load or the location is incorrect, check your Google Maps API Key and store address.
Step 5 — Check Your Store Locator Page #
Open the store locator page on your live website.
Check that:
- The page loads correctly.
- Your store locator appears as expected.
- The search works.
- Your store information appears correctly.
- The map loads.
- Your filters work as expected.
If you’ve just saved changes under Website Integration, allow up to a minute for them to appear on your website.
Optional: Check Additional Features #
If you’ve enabled additional features, make sure they appear and work as expected.
- Radius Filter — Check that the Select Radius dropdown appears and returns results within the selected distance.
- Custom Text on Filter Pop-up — Check that your message and link appear correctly.
- Extra Tabs — Check that your tabs, content, and links appear correctly.
- Design — Check that your colors and Search Header appear as intended.
