Merge Tags are dynamic placeholders that automatically insert customer or store information into your messages.
They help personalize storefront messages and emails without manually editing content for each customer.
For example:
[Customer's Name]automatically displays the customer’s name[Store Name]displays your store name[Reward Percentage]displays the configured reward value

🗒️ Note: Some merge tags only work when customers are logged in, such as
[Customer's Name]. If used while a customer is logged out, the tag may appear blank or not display at all.
⚠️ Important: Merge tags must remain exactly as shown. Do not edit the brackets
[ ], spacing, or tag names, as this may prevent the merge tag from working correctly.

Where Merge Tags Can Be Used #
Merge tags can be used throughout epicSnap wherever the Merge Tags option is available in the editor, including:
- Review request emails
- Reminder emails
- Image request emails
- Recipient image request emails
- Feedback messages
- Review replies
Depending on the section you’re editing, some merge tags may not be available.
Best Practices #
- Preview your email before sending a test email.
- Keep personalized content natural and conversational.
- Use merge tags where they add value, but avoid overusing them in a single message.
- Test your emails after making changes to confirm merge tags display correctly.
