What would you like to create?

You’ll see two options:

  • Quick Message
  • Opt-In (Collect Email)

Choose a Pop Card Type #

Before creating your Pop Card, you’ll need to decide its purpose. Here’s what each option is best for:

Quick Message #

Quick Message Pop Cards display announcements, promotions, and calls-to-action directly to visitors while they browse your storefront.

Best for:

  • highlighting sales and discounts
  • promoting limited-time offers
  • sharing important store updates
  • directing customers to products, collections, or landing pages

Example:

Weekend Flash Sale — Get 15% OFF Until Sunday!

Why it matters:

Quick Message Pop Cards help bring attention to important offers and encourage customers to take action while they’re already shopping.

Opt-In (Collect Email) #

Opt-In Pop Cards include a signup form where customers can submit their information.

Best for:

  • growing your email list
  • collecting newsletter subscribers
  • offering signup incentives
  • building long-term customer relationships

Example:

Join our email list and receive 10% OFF your first order.

Why it matters:

Opt-In Pop Cards help you stay connected with customers even after they leave your storefront, making it easier to promote future products, offers, and campaigns.

💡 Tip: If your goal is driving immediate action from current visitors, start with Quick Message. If you’re focused on long-term growth and email marketing, choose Opt-In (Collect Email).

Complete the Create a New Pop Card Screen #

After choosing Quick Message or Opt-In (Collect Email), you’ll be taken to the Create a New Pop Card screen.

This is where you’ll choose how and where your Pop Card will appear before moving on to customization.

Step 1: Choose Where to Display Your Pop Card #

Under Display Pop Card/Opt-in On, choose where your Pop Card should appear.

Available options:

  • Every Page – Show site-wide across all pages.
  • Home – Show only on your homepage.
  • Checkout – Show during the checkout process.
  • Custom Page – Show on a specific page/s of your choice.

You can select one location for each Pop Card.

💡 Tip:
  • Every Page works well for store-wide promotions, important announcements, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Home is great for welcoming new visitors, introducing your brand, or highlighting featured offers.
  • Checkout can help reinforce special offers, promote free shipping incentives, or encourage customers to complete their purchase.
  • Custom Page is useful when targeting specific audiences, products, collections, or campaign landing pages.

Step 2: Select the Type of Pop Card #

Under Choose Pop Card Type, select the layout that best fits your message.

For Quick Message:

  • Text — A simple text-only Pop Card (great for announcements, reminders, or promotional offers).
  • Image — An image-only Pop Card (ideal for banners, product photos, or promotional graphics).
  • Text with Image — Combines text and visuals (great for promotions that benefit from both an image and supporting message).

For Opt-In:

  • Text — A simple text-only signup form (ideal for collecting email signups without distractions).
  • Text with Image — Combines a signup form with visuals (great for newsletters, signup incentives, or promotional campaigns).

💡 Tip: Click the Preview (eye icon) beside each option to compare layouts and choose the style that works best for your goal.
🗒️ Note: Text with Image often attracts more attention, but a simple text-only Pop Card can be more effective when you want customers to focus on a specific message.

Step 3: Name Your Pop Card #

Enter a descriptive name in the Name Your Pop Card/Opt-in field.

This name is for internal use only and helps you identify the Pop Card later when managing multiple campaigns.

Examples:

  • Holiday Sale Banner
  • Newsletter Signup
  • Cart Abandonment Offer

Step 4: Start Customizing #

Click Start to continue.

You’ll be taken to the Pop Card editor where you can customize the content, design, placement, and behavior of your Pop Card.

The editor includes the following sections:

  • Settings
  • Placement
  • Behavior
  • Design

🗒️ Note: You’ll land on the Settings section by default when opening a newly created Pop Card.
