Overview #
Before sending review requests to your customers, it’s a good idea to test and verify your setup.
The checks below will help you confirm that everything is working as expected before you go live.
Step 1 — Preview Your Review Request Emails #
Open Emails to Customers → Emails Being Sent and use Send Test Email to preview the emails your customers will receive.
Check the following:
- Sender Name
- Email content
- Branding
- Images
- Links
<div class=”epic-callout epic-note”>
📝 Note: The Send Test Email feature lets you preview your email template only. Because it isn’t linked to an actual order, the review button won’t open the Rate Order Page.

Step 2 — Test the Complete Customer Experience #
If you’d like to verify the complete customer experience before going live, temporarily switch to Manual under Settings → Setup, then send yourself a review request using the epicSnap Mobile Web App.
Using Manual setup lets you verify the complete customer experience immediately—from receiving the review request email to submitting a review—without waiting for your Autopilot schedule. Once you’ve finished testing, you can switch back to Autopilot at any time.
As you go through the review process, check that:
- The review request email is received.
- The Rate Order Page opens correctly.
- The correct Feedback Message appears after submitting a rating.
- The Google Reviews invitation appears (if enabled).
- The image reply request works as expected (if enabled).

Want to test Autopilot too? #
After verifying the complete customer experience using Manual setup, you can switch back to Autopilot and create a test order using your own email address.
This lets you experience how your automated review requests are sent based on the schedule you’ve set.
Step 3 — Verify Your Preferred Setup #
Before going live, make sure your preferred review request setup is ready.
If you’re using Manual #
Verify that:
- Your Shop Phrase is working.
- You can sign in to the epicSnap Mobile Web App.
- You can send review requests successfully.
If you’re using Autopilot #
Verify that:
- You’ve chosen when your first review request should be sent.
- You’ve entered how many days to wait before sending the review request.
- Your settings have been saved successfully.
Step 4 — Check Your Storefront #
If you’ve enabled customer-facing features, make sure they appear correctly on your website.
Check the following:
- Reviews Widget
- Dedicated Reviews Page
You’re Ready! #
You’re ready to start collecting reviews if you can confirm that:
✔ Your review request emails look correct.
✔ Your complete customer experience works as expected.
✔ Your preferred review request setup is ready.
✔ Your storefront features display correctly (if enabled).
Congratulations! You’re now ready to start sending review requests to your customers.
